Open the driver side door, and pull off the panel on the side of the dashbord, inside is the fuse panel, and in the engine compartment there is another one located on the driver side , right in front of the positive terminal of the jump start terminal inside a black plastic box

The cat is located just off of the exhaust manifold. You have to remove things to get out of the way. Loosen down pipe to converter and unclamp the converter and it should pull right out. Use a good penetrating oil to help loosen the down pipe bolts.

Your belt may be worn & slipping. Check on the inside of belt for lost belt v grooves. If O.K., you may have a a bearing starting to sieze i.e. on alternator, power stearing, air conditioner condenser, or idler pulley. You will be able to check this by slackening belt & spinning each pulley. Good luck & Merry Christmas!
