Hi my 2000 peugeot 206 windscreen wipers keep coming and going they will make a few full moves then only go a bit and may take up to an hour to go back down and wont work then for ages i tryed changing the fuse in them and it doesnt help what else could it be the motor as the back ones work ok so do the jet or the ecu

The windscreen wiper stick attached to the steering wheel column has two functions. The up and down movement is to control the operation of the front wipers and a small ring collar that rotates on the wiper stick handle to control the rear wipers.

remove the wiper arm and reposition it a bit further up on the windscreen. Make sure that the rubber is not much past the blade arm.

To replace the cabin filter it is straight forward, open the bonnet, carefully unlatch the plastic cover near the windscreen, with the key in the off position move the windscreen wiper stalk this would cause the wipers to move and park in a vertical position allowing the removal of the plastic cover, Note how it fits under the windscreen, the filter can then be removed and replaced, all in all 10 minutes!

Check your fuse compartment under hood. Fuse 3 & 12 for windshield wipers and washers. More than likely you've overloaded the wiper motor causing a blown fuse.

It is possible that you tightened the bolts for the arms themselves to much and it is to much resistance for the motor. Try loosening the bolts a bit and see if that helps. Aside from that make sure that you are getting a full 12V to the plug by testing it with a multimeter for DC Voltage. Hope this helps you.
