99 mercury mystique icm location 4cyl.

The ignition control module on your car is located right on top of the engine. Follow your spark plug wires up to where they all plug in to a small black box often referred to as the ignition coil. Thats it. The ignition control module is integrated into the coil on this car. Hope this helped.

How to change the spark plugs on a V6 Mystique

The procedure to replace spark plug on 1999 mercury v6 mystique is as follows:--
There are 3 things that get in the way of the plugs -
  • The plastic cover piece on the front - three 7 or 8mm bolts to remove ..
  • The box underneath that cover - 4 8mm bolts .
  • The coil-pack - this one can be left in place, but for the effort to remove the 4 7mm bolts, it was well worth in my book. Having it loose also made it a bit easier to replace the plug wires

    Tips:

    use a 3/4" plug socket on a 6" extension
put a piece of duct tape around the socket extension / socket joint to keep them together.
Use silicone / Di-electric grease on the plugs and both ends of the wires.
A bit of anti-seize on the plug threads won't hurt either
Don't over-torque the plugs - don't remember exactly what the torque specification is, but it's lower than I would have thought - snug them in tight, but don't "crank" them down hard .
Do the plugs one-at-a-time! Helps prevent getting the firing order messed up.
    Plug gap: .054.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
