I have a 2000 Ford Focus, the low oil indicator light was fluttering. When the car was turned off oil was gushing out. Put a quart in and it leaked out. Do I need a oil pump.

no
you need to fix the leak
unfortunately you never mentioned where the oil was gushing out from so there are only 2 or three places possible
the oil sender unit
the oil sensor unit
the oil filter
as the first two will drip rather than gush out the filter is left
they can split around the top rim or when being fitted the oil oil seal was left in place and it pushes out under pressure or the filter was overtightened , deforming where the oils eal is
I suspect that the filter area is the problem and if so the fitment of a suitable filter will fix the fault

Oil leak 2000 alero, just replaced plug, not it, leaked out all the oil after I drove it 20 miles, please help, could it be a gasket or what

Check the oil filter. The old gasket might be stuck on the engine (two gaskets stuck together), or the new gasket might be defective, misaligned or missing.

Where is the fuel filter located in a chrysler voyager 2000

The fuel filter is mounted on top of the fuel tank. The fuel tubes are permanently attached to the filter.
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the fuel tubes from the fuel pump module and chassis fuel line.
  5. Remove the filter mounting bolt.
  6. Remove the filter.
To Install:
  1. Install the fuel filter on the tank.
  2. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the nipples of the fuel filter tubes.
  3. Connect the fuel filter tubes to the fuel pump and chassis fuel line.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Pressurize the fuel system and check for leaks.

Where is the plug to change the oil on a 2000

The drain plug should be on the side of the oil pan, drivers side of the truck. Just be careful not to lose the washer on the plug when you take it out, otherwise you may have a leak when you put it back on. While the oil is draining into the pan take a rag and clean the plug up. Get all the dirt off, especially between the plug and the washer. Use a filter wrench and remove the filter, it should be on the same side. Put the drain pan under the filter because it will drip oil too. A quick wipe around the edge of the filter bracket will make sure no dirt falls into the new filter. Before you spin the new filter on wipe some oil on the rubber gasket on the top. If you don't it will come off very hard next time.Spin it until it stops and give it about a half turn by hand. You don't need to use the wrench to tighten it. Put your drain plug back inand tighten it the same as any other bolt. Pour your oil in,Your owner's manual will tell you how much, and check it on the dipstick. Let it sit for a few minutes an d check it again, topping it up if it needs it. If it's a little overful don't worry. Start the engine and let it idle until the oil light goes out and shut it off.the engine has tofill the filter and build up pressure. That will take a couple of minutes. go back under the truck and check for leaks. The drain plug and filter should be dry. Tighten what is leaking if necessary. Recheck your oil level and top it up. If you had a leak underneath start the truck up again and re check, otherwise you are good to go. Hope this helps.

Oil filter

It is located outside of the the fuel tank. Start on the drivers side and look under the back part near the rear wheel. You should have a bracket along with a canister like item. That's the fuel filter. I believe 2 14mm wrenches or 1 14mm wrench and an adjustable wrench working with opposite motion should do the trick. Do so to unscrew the filter from both fuel lines. Be careful not to strip it. Make sure you have a drip pan. It will leak a little bit.

Horrible Gas Mileage

i would change the fuel filter and i would take a flashlight and to make sure none of my fuel injectors are leaking and i would also put the car on ramps and put something behind the rear wheels and check all of my gas lines under the car as while.

2000 ford f250 super duty 4x4 7.3L diesel oil leak

The HPOP (high pressure oil pump) is right under the filter housing. There are 2 lines that distribute the oil to the cylinder heads. The o-rings on those fittings go out. Kit is available from Ford or International. You will need a special wrench to get to the fittings though.
