Try removing the battery for half an hour or so and then reconnecting (check you have all your radio codes etc before you do this).

    One often cause (but not obvious!) is the steering module. It may lock up the CAN bus which causes multiple errors. replacement only by Volvo since it has to be leaded with the software that fits your car and options.

I have volvo fh12 2001 truck , i am facing problems when ever i press brake padel for stop my truck my truck alwas wants to go right side oposit side of the driver, i changed all brake boster because of this problem but problem is still there, even i adjust tha brakes, also when we start our truck computer shows ( Brake Failuer)and sign of Stop shows on copmuter screen.please advise me a good solutuion.

Turn off the service airbag light 2006 volvo s40. I tried the normal reset for the service engine light and that is not working.
The SRS light is an item that must be reset by the dealer. Usually, there is a fault in the system that makes the light come on. Caution: Whenever this light is lit, the SRS is disabled. Consequently, the airbags will not deploy during an accident. Have the system checked out as there will be a code the system has stored in relation to the airbags, the crash sensor or something else. Be safe: Never work on the system with the battery connected, regardless of whether or not that light is lit!

Volvo V-70 drivetrain & electronics faults
I suspect you have some loose connections or shorts in the wiring harness. I've had similar strange things happen with an Olds Bravada. Various transmission shifting problems, faults, etc. that all seemed to come from the engine's computer system getting incorrect voltages and readings due to wiring faults/shorts.

it means stop car brake failure! all the lights come on to get your attention. that year car has multiple electrical and software problem that only the dealer has the equipment to fix it. off to volvo you go

Brake failure stop asap lights and stc/abs/brake/airbag light what does it mean and how bad is it?
I have had the same problem with my car for 3 months now. It is the ABS module that needs to be replaces. Ignore the stop ASAP light the brakes will still function as standard brakes. You just don't have ABS brake functionality or STC when those lights are on. Your car should still drive fine. Go on line and order a rebuilt ABS module for about $200 and the problem is solved. Hope that helps.

If you have SRS and "brake failure" it should be taken to a dealer. a shadetree mechanic will screw more up than he will fix in this case. trust me on this! you will pay a price, but will save you more $ and less headache in the longrun.

1999 Volvo s80 SRS light on says it needs urgent service
You are in the Ballpark. It will cost you several Hundred to fix. Will prob have to have the module replaced. Go to a trusted European repair placed. DO NOT TAKE TO DEALERunless you want to give them the car. They are very happy with $$$$$$$$ You can fix for alot less than dealer. Good luck.
