Are you using a properly programmed key? Was the key exposed to something that may have corrupted the data? Was the vehicle hit in the rear at all? Key has a computer chip. If chip is not exactly right car will not run.

When engine warms up it acts like its not getting fuel but if you turn it off and start it back up it it will run great for a few more miles and then does the same thing all over agian

start with the fuel filter, located on the frame of the truck, sometimes the intial boost from the fuel pump when you start it will push through all right, but once it runs through for a min. the sentiments will setle in the filter and strve the truck, it may also be an issue with a fuel pressure regualtor, a bad injector, or a bad fuel pump, but id start with the filter, cheapest an easiest repare in the bunch

'91 F150 won't start

I guess there could be debris in the tank - but the fuel filter will catch it and clog up (is that a hint, or what),

Other possible is the ignition coil... the are plastic inside and they dry out and crack inside.... when they are hot - open circuit... When they are cool, closed circuit - working...

so, next time it dies, check for spark. Otherwise, replace the fuel filter (hopefully you have one OUTSIDE the fuel tank).
Let us know - please... -Jim

My 1990 F150 will not start sometimes. If I turn the switch to the on position and the fuel pump continues to run after 5 Sec , It will not start. If the pump stop running after 5 Sec , it will start.

when u turn the key to run but don't start the fuel pump shuts off after 5 seconds + or - 2 seconds, this is normal, the common cause of no start on your truck is the TFI ignition module on the distributor, subject of many recalls for failing, also change the stator inside the distributor, use factory parts, aftermarket parts fail very quickly. here is a picture of the parts.

This is the TFI ignition module.
