It sounds as though you've got a wiring problem with your rear liftgate. this would cause the pin switch to think it's still open instead of closed, and the power loss to the wiper assembly. check your fuses first to see if there are any blown. then check and make sure your ground wire for the rear liftgate is clean and tight and not broken.

You can turn them off by turning them on manually, then hold the dome override button and turn them back off. This only works until you turn off the ignition and must be repeated each time you engage the ignition switch.

I need to change wiper blades on 2006 trailblazer. i can't get the wipers off.

The 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

Some late model GM produtcs have a override swich on the dash that is part of the dome light circuit, I can't say for sure about this particular model, check you owner manual, or call your local chevy dealer if you don't have the manual before you assume there is somthing mecahiclly wrong.

Low Beam headlights not working

The daytime running lights run the high beam bulbs at low voltage so it sounds like you need to put the relays back where they were and either replace the low beam bulbs or repair the wiring to them. Also the relay you removed could be defective.

Dome light won't work exept by the override switch-sometimes

I seem to be having the exact opposite problem. I have a 99 chevy blazer and the dome light will not turn off unless I push the override button in. The radio does turn off as soon as I turn off the ignition key. If I leave the dome override button out, the dome light will constantly stay on even while I am driving. It used to work fine. Every now and them it starts working properly, but it hasn't worked right for a long time now. I tested all the switches and they all seem ok. They rear hatch is also closed. Does anyone know what the problem can be and how to fix it?
