generally you will have tp access the starter from under neath. it may be located on the right side next to the trany or on the left side closer to the left wheel.if you have an under carriage gard you will need to remove it. good luck.
The exhaust maniford does not need to be remove. The starter will have to come pass the front axle (if 4 wheel drive) and exit below the alternator at the front of the engine. This can be frustrating but it can be done.
