my guess is you think the dash guage dont lie? define overheat. 1: pyro IR gun shoot thermostat house it read 250F? 2: steam rising from hood. 3: green coolant every where. just a hint, and we can proceed.
define overheats, what made you think that........??????????
your actual speed will be less. odo will read more than actual distance. fuel econemy will decrease... generaly a bad idea :) i think the differrence is about 12km/h at 100km/hr...so driving at what appears to be 100 will actually be 88 or at least close
clean the MAF sensor first and also add some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner to 1/4 tank of gas. You may have a dirty MAF or a partially plugged injector.
overheating can damaged cylinder head gasket resulting to low or no engine compression.coolant may enter inside the bore.check compression in all cylinders and traces of coolant on sparkplugs.compression of 100psi is still acceptable.
i have just done this on mine after fixing a leak. yours is a simple one, you have an airlock. run the car till warm, remove the water filler, leave about 2" from the top and leave it running. eventually the air will come out. make sure you have the heating set onto hot front and back
