This worked for me on 2008 Mk5 Golf, after the rear passenger door would not open fro outside or inside.
Hold the inside door latch open and keep it extended, then with the key fob open and close the door locks (still holding the inside latch open). Keep locking and unlocking the door, then it made a kluck and it released.
Okay, this sounds like theres a problem with the switch inside the door, try this, go to the passenger door and unlock it with the key, note if it has a lock, most newwer cars are only putting locks on drivers door, but if it has one use the key to unlock it and then try to start the car, if theres no lock then try the truck lock, unlock it with the key and try to start the car, if that doesnt work then use the fob to unlock all doors by pushing it two times and then start the car, the problem is the switch inside the door lock, this switch is part of the latch asm, good day.
is a cheap alarm. change it wih a proper one. both of you have alarms which is working on the same freqvency. the same alarm, or just weird coincidence.
Any chance the batteries are dead in both of them? There's a little light on your key fob. Try locking/unlocking and watch the light (it's red) if it's dim or not lighting up then your battery (inside your key fob) is dead. They take CR2032 watch batteries.
this sounds like a stuck switch in the door lock assembly. it will make the locking system work like its got a mind of its own. The best fix is to first try cleaning the latch on the door it has a switch to tell the car if the latch is open/closed. Use an old tooth brush with some degreaser scrub the base of the latch on the door. After its cleaned up relube it with some white grease or dry graphite. Then try the lock again. If this doesn't solve it then the lock assembly has a faulty switch inside and replacement is the best option
