The obvious problem is you are low on oil. If that is OK then you could have a bad sending unit. Worse case is that your not getting enough oil pressure and the engine may be getting tired or the oil pump is weak. If you try a thicker oil like 10W40 or 10W50 and see if the problem goes away.

Chevy 2005 cavalier low coolant light keeps coming on and the coolant reservoit tank is empty after only 200 miles. what is causing this?

  1. Check the hoses and clamps going from the reservoir to the radiator and from the radiator to the engine. Make sure they are flexible and in good condition.
  2. Check the reservoir and radiator for leaks.
  3. Replace any parts they may be failing. If no leaks are found proceed to next step.
  4. Check engine oil. If oil has coolant in it you may have a blown head gasket or crack in the head or engine block. Another sign of a coolant leak into the cylinders is white smoke coming from the exhaust after the engine is warmed up.

Probable causes are too much oil, or too little oil or wrong grade of oil.

Check levels and grade of oil that was used. Go back to the person who changed it and ask what they did

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

My Daughter's 1998 Chevy Cavalier had an indicator light come on. She thinks it's an Oil Light. (Has an Arrow Pointing Down?)

It's the Coolant. I have the same car, same year and had the same indicator light come on - it was my Coolant.

My 2003 chevy cavalier check engine light keeps

go to autoparts store and use their scanner to scan the computer and get the code. you may have to wait until you can catch it back on again. You can try resetting the computer by disconnecting battery for 30 minutes and see if that works first

Car stops

Have you tried changing the alternator...you can even get it tested before you change it just have someone take it off and go to like autozone, advance auto parts, oreilly...umm basically any auto part store...because your alternator keeps the car charged and somtimes when it's going bad it will do what you're explaining
