This is definitely the Blower (Fan) Motor Resistor located behind the dash Glove Box.
Remove the Glove Box completely to access.
It is mounted onto/slightly into the fire wall and has 3 to 4-wires going into it. I believe there are two (2) 8-mm bolts holding it on. It is shape like a 3 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high.
Disconnected the negative side of the battery first
Unplug the resistor.
Unbolt.
Remove and replace with new resistor.
Re-plug back in.
Reconnect the negative side of the battery.
Check operation before re-onstalling the glove box!

fords are notorius for faulty fan switches, you will need to get a new one, but it will probably fail in a year or two.

Alot of people have the same problem with the fan switch and blown bulbs. There really is no fix for this. Jeep really screwed up when designing the heater control assembly. The cheapest solution is to buy another unit off Ebay. Can always go to the dealer but be ready to PAY for there mistakes.

Sounds like the fan control knob has shorted out. You can check the fan "blower" relay and fuse in the engine compartment but you need to make sure the control knob is good or you will keep blowing fuses and relays. If your blower fuse and relay are good, then just have the control knob checked and replaced if needed.
