Recently slid into a fence durring ice/snow storm.

Recently slid into a fence (passenger side) durring ice/snow storm. Now sometimes the vehicle won't do anything when I turn the key, until I put it into neutral, then it will turn over & start. It's like you turn the key & it does absolutely nothing/no sounds. Is this a senor problem or what.

I'd say the linkage is a little bit off and the shifter is not quite putting the linkage in the park position. To confirm this you might try pushing and or pulling on the shifter a little bit as you trying to start the vehicle.

We have had multiple snow storms and ice around here and recently the traction control light has come onand off and the car is still performing well why would the light come on now--- the vehicle is a 2002...

Does it come on while you are driving in these conditions? If so it is letting you know it is enabling the traction control, which means it is deciding how much power to let you have when you press on the gas.

I slid off my driveway in a snow storm & got stuck. My problem is the steering column is locked & can't turn the ignition to start it or unlock it to get towed out. What could the problem be?

ther should be a steering wheel lock in the colum that engages when the vehicle is shut off . if you slid into the ditch and your wheels are turned or ther is a lot of presure on the wheels or colum then the lock wont disengage( the lock is jambed up because of the presure on it) try to remove the presure on the wheels and pull opposite on the steering wheel. if you get rid of enough presure on the lock it should turn again

Fuel pump is located inside your fuel tank.Sometimes if you have involved in an accident there is automatic shut off switch that will kill the fuel pump operations and prevent fire durring accident.Chek your manual for fuel pump shut off switch. Sometimes is located in the Trunk or in front of vehicle on driver side under dash on left side panel.

Remove the wiper arm and check the serrated hub to see if it sheared a pin holding it to the shaft. If it is ok, then you may have a broken/loose part in the linkage. Good luck!
