Need more information. The most important thing would be to watch the heater water valve move when someone turns the control from hot to cold, back and forth?
Heater valve controls tend to be operated by vacuum, and switched by a heater computer. Lots of possibilities. But first tell us what you see move when operated? Valve is usually in engine compartment, in the heater hose. Follow the hot one.

Turns over and wont start at times when it dont start watee 10 min then it will start

Does it do it hot or cold , after driving the truck for awhile or sitting overnight ? Heat can cause resistance problems , electrically speaking . Have you checked to see if there is spark or fuel pressure when it won't start ? If you narrow it down to one or the other it makes it easier for diagnosing . No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy

My 2000 jimmy has heat problems. the heat goes from cold to hot to warm to cold etc. what could the problem be?

If the temp gauge is now more stable, the problem is in your heater system, not the engine cooling system.

My heater blows hot for a couple minutes then turns cold. After turning it off for a few minutes and back on, it blows hot then goes cold again.

LET YOUR CAR WARM UP FIRST!! or you risk the chance of over heating and casuing engine damage. start your car let it warm up for 5 to ten minutes and then try the heat. also when you start you should NEVER have heat on right away. the heat that you feel comes from the engine. and if the engine is cold and you are trying to heat it up it will put stress on the engine and over heat. ALL cars have to wait for their heat. that's why you see peoples car running in the morning with no one in it. so when they do get in it they have heat. heat will not work until the engine is warm.
