Battery dies on 2003 dodge stratus

You can tape something on the door where the plunger makes contact with the door. I have used duct tape and a quarter (25-cents) or two, until I could repair the hinges.
I have also purchased Pencil Erasers - ones that you put on eraser end of a pencil after the original erasor has been worn down. I put these erasers in the door plunger post, closing the gap and deactivating the interior lights and warnings.
Does your Stratus have a interior light dimmer/shut off switch? It should be a dial on the dash. Until you can get the door fixed, dial this to off.
