FUSE PANEL IDENTIFICATION (1983-90 LINCOLN TOWN CAR)The fuse panel is located in the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. To expose fuse panel, remove lower steering column finish panel.
they always come on when you turn the egnitiion switch then go out once you have started the vehicle and its normal for the fuel pump to come on infact thats one way mechanics can tell if the electric fuel pump is working or not i`m not seeing any problem here that all sounds normal.
1) disconnect the fuse of radio , and see how is working. If you see the motor running hot, the radio is o.k the problem will mechanical trouble. Use the scan and computer Test. Some sensor can be faulty. However you must adjust the timing to the specification manufacturer NOT matter if your is EI. God bless you.
I would suspect a faulty ignition switch causing all the electrical issues. There are 3 distinct circuits running from the ignition switch, it sounds like one of them are faulty and not allowing power to certain circuits. Best to have it diagnosed at a reliable auto shop.
That is your brake warning light. Check your brake fluid level, if it's low it could cause the light to go on. Fill to proper level, check to see if level drops again, if it does, check for leaks under the car.
you got fuel and spark, check the third to the equation, air... maybe you have an obstruction, also if you have a compression guage check the compression. good luck ill check back.
changed it out.....
