The seals going bad. It is not uncommon to have Turbo seals go bad after awhile. But a little oil leaking into the intake is common, but if the leak is bad enough then a turbo rebuild will be needed. You can read more about it here.

as the turbo is cooled by water and if the bearings fail yes its possable if the car is auto the rad has a oil cooler built in to it or the auto box or at the worst head gasket

A little bit of oil is normal, but if oil is dripping all the time, the turbo needs to be repaired.
