I have a 1999 chevy 1500 with a 5.7 liter. If truck sets more than an hour I have to pour gas down the throttle body to get it to start. It seems to run fine after I get it started. But have noticed if I give it full throttle it seems to be starving for gas.

Sounds like you have a problem with your fuel presure regulator

as for pouring gas down the tbi try turning your key on then off a few times wait about 3-5 secs for the fuel pump to prime the system and try that if the key prime works than have a mechanic presure test the f.p.r.
and try and remember there are a ton of auto salvage yards that will sell an fpr for like 20 bucks including the fuel rail

99 altima turns over no start

Spray some ether in the throttle body and see if it starts. If the car still doesn't start, it could be an ignition problem. Check for spark.

Sounds like the fuel pump is going bad(or in this case, has gone bad). I suggest that you change the fuel pump and use a fuel cleaner in your gas tank as dirty gas may have caused the problem to begin with.

Run away vehicle-99 chevy blazer wants to accelerate to 1500 rpm, braking will bring idle back down. What's problem?

In most cases problems with idle speed involve the idle air control valve or a dirty throttle body. The computer controls idle speed by how much air is allowed into the intake thru the control valve.
If the throttle is not sticking, I would check the valve and the bore of the throttle body.
You could also have a vac leak but that would usually be a constant problem.

1999 chevy silverado 5.3 starts then dies out

check to see if you can hear a loud sucking sound (air) going into the throttle body when the engine starts then dies. if you hear alot of air being sucked into the throttle body, replace the Coolant Temperature sensor located close to the thermostat housing on top of the intake manifold. If this $12.00 part goes bad, it will cause the same symptom you have described. You can check the sensor for correct reading by using a scan-tool.

My chevy truck idles fine but bogs down when throttle is pushed. i have plenty of fuel pressure. when i pour some gas in the throttle body it revs fine. what sould this be?

do a fule pressure test, and check the signal from the tps, it may have a bad signal, best to get installed a real time scanner to check all the sensors and actuators
