Power window not working on my 2002 GMC Yukon Denali

This morning when I lowered the drivers side window, something snapped and the window dropped a few inches. Concerned it would get stuck down, I quickly raised it. It reluctantly went up and is now stuck up. Since it was around freezing, I am glad it is stuck up.
Now when I push the switch to lower the window, the motor is running and something in the door is going up and down, just not the window. It seems that
I am a do-it-myselfer looking for some instructions to dissemble and repair. I welcome any advice.
George

This is an easy one, the window regulator has broken. just remove the door panel by removing the screws under the handle and behind the window switch, also the triangle piece behind the mirror will need removed, and the plastic piece behind the handle u use to open the door, then u should be able to remove the panel by lifting it up because it kinda hooks into the door. then remove the bolts holding in the regulator (use the new regulator as a reference to locate the bolts) and replace the regulator. should be an easy repair

It sounds like the arm from the motor to the window regulator is disconnected. Pull the inside door panel off. Put a mirror inside the door (may need light also) and look for the problem. If you are in a cold climate area freezing may have had the window stuck causing undue stress on the system thus causing something to bend or break. In cold temperatures it's best to let the car get warm before using the windows.

Well you will need to remove the inside door panel.Remove all screws(usualy only around the arm rest and window switch area)Start at the bottom and pull. These are plastic push pins. You will probibly break a few,but when you go to the dealer to get your broken part you can pick up a few of these.Once you get all of these off lift up and the panel is free. I think the window regulaters now have cables instead of the X bars of old,but you will be able to see the ploblem once you ban see inside.

Sounds like the window regulator went.A common problem. What you need to do is remove the door panel and look it over.Usually the cable will come off. This is not repairable. You have to replace the regulator. You should be able to get this part separate. Some places will try to sell you the complete window motor and regulator. You should be able to get just the regulator from the dealer without buying the motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

This is going to be your window regulator assembly. the regulator runs about $100 aftermarket or about $250 dealer. either one is going to work. there is no repair for these. trust me ive gone around and around trying be a nice guy and "fixing" these. dont bother, replace. happy holidays and let me know if you need anything else george.

How do I check the circuit breaker for power windows on 2002 GMC Denali?

A circuit breaker is either open or closed

It is up to you, how you want to test it

You could voltage drop it or remove & buzz it,
with your meter.

If it is a plug in one in your fuse panel, you can't
very well get at it to test live.

How check relay window in my yukon denali 2002,

Look for bad wires. There may also be a bad door module. Most don't have relays anymore, just modules.
