Are you talking timing belt or serpentine belt.
If a timing belt breaks you can destroy your engine
If a serpentine breaks you will overheat, the charging system will stop charging and the power steering system will stop working.

Either way you will end up stranded

then as long as nothing is leaking out you should be ok.. If you can put some silicone sealer on it for now you should be ok

Do u have to change timing belt when u replace a water pump on 1993 camry

Depending on the amount of miles on your vehicle it may be time to service the timing belt. Personally if it was me and I had to replace the water pump I would probable replace the timing belt at the same time since the cost is minimal. You can always check it for wear and cracks when you take it apart.

Running normal then just stopped, cranks Ok ,Battery good

My 83 camry died one day on my way to school. I noticed that while I was driving my lights started diming then the engine just shut down. Found out that my alternator was dead. In your case have your alternator tested, your battery charged and check to make sure you have the belt that turnes the alternator and note if there are more than 3 cracks in the ribs of the belt per inch, I would replace the belt while you have the alternator out.

Broke timing belt

If the timing belt broke, your car won't run. Fortunately, it's not too expensive to replace, and as long as you are at it, may as well replace the water pump. Usually they have to dismount that in order to get at the timing belt. Generally that is that case, but it all depends on how each car is set up.

How many belts have to be changed on a 1991 Toyota Camry? Timing belt, air conditioning belt?

For normal service, the belts should be changed every 30k (as per what Toyota recommends) the timing belt should be replaced every 92k (if required some are chain driven still). The different belts and everything like that you should replace belts that are frayed, torn, weak, cracked, or broken as needed.

I dont have a diagram to run serpentine belt to a toyota camry 03

Hi

Replacing Serpentine belt on a Toyota camry 2003—

Step 1--Examine the belt placement of your Toyota Camry fan belt so that you will remember how to put it back once you have removed it. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for further information. Locate the pivot bolt on the front passenger side of the engine. Loosen the pivot bolt with a socket wrench.

Step 2--Loosen the adjustment locking bolt that is just below the tensioner pulley with a socket wrench, and then loosen the tensioner pulley to allow the belt to move free.

Step 3--Check the belt for any signs of cracking or irregular wear, so you can fix any problems that may exist with the pulleys. Remove the fan belt from the pulleys on the engine and take it out of the engine compartment.

Step 4--Wrap the new fan belt around each of the pulleys the same way it came out. When you have the belt in place, tighten the tensioner pulley with a socket wrench.

Step 5--Tighten the adjustment locking bolt and the pivot bolt with a socket wrench, and then look over the engine to check that everything is back in place.

Step 6--Turn the vehicle engine on and watch it for a few minutes to verify that everything is operating properly, then turn the engine off.
