This has happened to me three times; once last winter and twice this winter already. After a period of rain in our area we experienced sub freezing temperatures immediately afterward. When I started my truck the next morning, it would not move although I could hear and feel the transmission slide into gear smoothly. Rain in the afternoon, freeze ovcer night, unable to move vehicle the following morning, In each instance, when the temperature returns to above freezing(warms up a bit) the truck returns to normal operation. Turn your steering column while turning on the car this should help. I had a problem with mine once and it did this (wouldn't start) but once the battery was replaced problem went away. You could also have a defected battery which also happened to my 2001 Eclipse RS last year.
