Get under car locate starter assembly, has trwo wire's going to it, while down there with test light have some one turn key to start check voltage at small wire if test light lights up ignition switch ok, then check voltage at big wire that one come's from battery have them turn key to start, if you loose voltage there check battery treminals for good connection,if you still have voltage with key at start position with a hammer hit starter while they hold key at start if it start's replace starter, bad starter solenoid.

yea it sounds like your starter the trick is to beat your starter a couple of times get a broom handle or something like a stick and hit your start a couple of times if it starts right up then your starter is gone and you have to get a new one beacuse the second you turn the car off its off for good till you get the new starter

Does the Kia Sedona 2.9 diesel, 53 plate (2003) have a fuel pump in or near the fuel tank? It wont start and it used to make a faint humming when you put key in ignition as though it was pressurising the...

i have tried a search and i cannot find where the 02 sedona offered a diesel option motor, i found only one available motor and that was a 3.5 sfi , well that pump is in the tank. Did you try and put diesel fuel in this vehicle? as it wont run on diesel.and its possible it fried the pump. but you will have to drain tank and flush fuel lines if this is the case.

My kia sedona wont start just click when turned on

Couple of things to try.

1. Check that the battery connections are both clean and tight on the battery.
2. Check water level in the battery is above the plates that you can see in the filler holes.
Caution:
(Handle the battery with care as the water in the battery has been charged and becone sulphuric acid which will burn your skin. Do not get this in your eyes.)

3. Turn the headlights on then start the vehicle, and if:
a) the lights dim the battery is not connecting properly or faulty, or:
b) the lights stay on full it would the starter motor relay or solenoid (part of the starter motor).
