328xi Left rear window will not close. When you operate the switch window tries to rise maybe 1/8 inch and then returns to full open What do i do

Operate power window switch to fully open the window. (If not already fully open) 4. Continue pulling the power window switch UP (AUTO-UP operation). Even after glass stops at fully closed position, keep pulling the switch for 2 seconds or more.

Are all windows not working ? Two separate circuit breakers left & right . Both in rear fuse box . Fuse Block - Rear Beneath the left rear seat
Check for broken wires inside the rubber boot from body to doors.

The power window system will operate anytime the retained accessory power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The DDM contains 4 power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the 2 front windows have 3 positions Up, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only 2 positions, Up and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position.
The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has 2 positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM.
The 2 rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors.

Check

try this to rest the windows

Lower the window all the way manually.
Then manually raise the window for about 2-3 secs and stop.
Then manually raise the window all the way to the top and stop.
Then manually raise the window (actually just hold the button up as the window can't raise further) for 2-3 secs.

first take main battery cable out for one houre and return it back if there fine so its oke if not do below steps plz
set in car and close or glasses 1st- open ur window full auto and close it auto 2st-open passenger full auto down and full auto up 3st-open ur back window full auto down and then full auto up 4st-open rear window of passenger full auto down and full auto up

To close, make certain the rear window is closed, and then pull down the liftgate a few inches to activate power closing. sounds like the door sensor switch is malfunctioning and when almost closed it reacts like it is blocked (such and kid in way) and opens for safety. try flushing trach with hose and try again, if not u need a good repair manual such as chiltons($25 most parts stores ) or see mechanic

try cleaning your master switch with air

get it to the dealer asap.

you definitely need to take apart the door. There's something not right inside.

The Regulator will fix the problem. The tracks might also need a little adjustment.(loosen bolts move track then retighten) Try holding the window while you are rasing it you might be able to guide it up so that it will close a bit more.
