@ 45 - 50 MPH, Car starts jerking when I dig into the gas. Engine light came on immediately after that happen. Also, in the morning, cold starts make the engine very jerky! what is the problem?

I'm having same problem but with a 97 cadillac deville at 45-50 mph but its like rpm go up but trans still pulling then catchs but if I give gas it catch and go on...but also has a continuous whine to it while driving and in park...what could it be???

You will have to get the codes checked.This will tell you what could be causing the problem.Sounds like ignition problem.But without codes it hard telling exactly the problem.As far as the morning starts you might have to clean the throttle body.When you get the codes post back and I can help explain the code or codes and what you should do.Auto Zone will check them for free.Hope this helps.Good luck.
