Where is the heater core located and how to change the heater core on a 2000 Nissan frontier 2.4 L cylinder

If it has a AC you have to pump down the AC remove the entire heater and AC unit so you can disconect AC lines and heater hoses ,you have to drop the steering column and remove the glove box, its a big job I would buy a manual so you know what all you have to disconect.

A QUICK FIX FOR A DAMAGE HEATER CORE?
TO REPLACE A HEATER CORE IT COST ABOUT $700..
THE COMPLETE DASHBOARD HAVE TO BE REMOVE...

BUT IM HERE TO SPARE YOU OF $700 FOR NOW.

I WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST AND QUICK AND CHEAPEST SOLUTION TO GET YOUR CAR ON THE ROAD... ASAP, A $20 FIX..

DO IT YOURSELF AND SAVE THE TOWING TO MECHANIC.

THE BAD (YOUR HEATER WILL NOT WORK).. YOUR FAN AND AC WILL WORK FINE, JUST NO HEAT. (SOLUTION>)GET A PORTABLE HEATER THAT CONNECT TO YOUR LIGHTER UNTIL YOU GET THE CASH TO PAY $700+

A HEATER CORE IS THE LITTLE RADIATOR UNDER YOUR DASH, THAT RECEIVE ANTIFREEZE FROM THE BIG RADIATOR IN FRONT OF THE ENGINE, THAT GIVES YOU HEAT DURING COLD WEATHER.

FROM THE BIG RADIATOR THERE IS 2 LITTLE HOSES THAT ATTACHES TO THE HEATER CORE, LOOK FOR IT NEAR THE BRAKE SYSTEM IN BACK OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE PANEL OF THE CAR. (2 RUBBER HOSES.. (SEE PIC BELOW FOR SAMPLE)

THEY WILL HAVE 2 CLAMPS, WITH REGULAR HAND TOOLS, YOU
WOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE BOTH HOSES, ONCE YOU REMOVE THEM..
BUY A SMALL METAL TUBE IN THE SHAPE OF A (U)
AND CONNECT BOTH HOSES TO EACH OTHER, AND PLACE BOTH BRACKETS OR CLAMPS TIGHTLY FOR NO LEAKS.

ITS A 10 MIN JOB.

REMOVING BOTH HOSES FROM THE HEATER CORE AND RE-ATTACHING THEM TOGETHER, ALL YOU DOING ITS ELIMINATING THE HEATER CORE COMPLETELY, THAT'S LOCATED UNDER THE DASH FOR HEATING SUPPORT.

IF YOUR HEATER CORE WAS LEAKING ANTIFREEZE INSIDE YOUR CAR, IT WILL STOP LEAKING ONCE YOU DISCONECT THE 2 HOSES FROM OUTSIDE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, THERE WILL BE NO MORE ANTIFREEZE GOING INTO YOUR HEATER CORE SINCE YOU WILL BYPASS THE HEATER CORE.

ONCE YOU CONNECT BOTH HOSES TOGETHER, THE ANTIFREEZE WILL CIRCULATE BACK TO THE FRONT RADIATOR AND NO OVER HEATING AND NO LEAKING INSIDE YOUR CAR MO MORE. YOUR CAR WILL DRIVE FINE, YOUR AC AND FAN WILL WORK THE SAME...SO LONG THAT WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM.

THIS THE MOST AFFORDABLE AND QUICKEST SOLUTION TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD ASAP.

LEAVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK.

GOOD LUCK

THANKS

My antifreeze is leaking and I am trying to find the leak. It also leaks from inside of my truck on the passenger side where their feet are.

Your heater core is leaking. Replacement of this part is a big job and should be done by a professional.

You will need to replace the heater core. It obviously has a small crack or hole in it and that is where the steam on your windsheild and the smell of antifreeze is coming from.

Heater core replacement. how to do it.

This is a hard one, frist evacutae ac system then remove ac lines from core and coolant lines from heatercore, you will need to remove all dash components radio heater controls cluster etc, then drop steering column, i would remove the neg batt terminal before starting this job, unbolt shaft and remove column from truck you will need to disconect all wiring to column at the base atthe main harness, then remove glovebox, next is to unbolt the dash, take a good look there are many bolts that are hidden, the main ones are at the ends of the dash at the bottom, two on each side, get some help and remove the dash or pull away and tie up, move it to get enough room to remove the heaterbox. next is to remove connectors from the heater box, then unbolt the box there are a couple of bolts also in the rear firewall in engine compartment. remove the heater box and open box and remove the core, reverse to install.

1999 dodge durango heater core

It's a big job. Drain the coolant down, recover the freon in the ac system and disconnect the lines and heater hoses. Lower the steering column, remove the instrument panel assembly, remove the heater housing. Split the case halves on the housing and there you are. Usually around 500 to 700 dollars at a dealership.
