My van shut dawn when start why do that? - 1995 GMC Safari

I`m having the same problem with mine 4.3 vortec CMFI . I have narrowed it down to three things (i believe). #1 Fuel pressure regulator. #2 Power Train Control Module #3 Deep inside the injector ?-- Have to start taking engine apart from the top. Answer #1 40 dollars Answer #2 approx. 150 - 450 These two are parts only. Answer #3 How deep are your pockets? Remember if you Buy a PCM and connect it and it is not your problem you can not take it back.

Wife hooked the jumper cables wrong on a 78 Chevy van. Jump started but after was shut off, can't get it started again. New battery and starter has checked out to be good. What could be wrong?

Could be either one but the coil is the one that creates the spark but don't rule out wiring. I would have all 3 checked out

Yes ! The headlight is more than cracked,which is allowing moisture in. the sensor is not part of the headlight {dust to dawn operation}. If you replace headlight. You will have no problem with operation of lights.

Check for mouse chewed wiring...I have had them chew through plug wires when sitting for a while...good luck...Lee

clean off the battery terminals and make sure it has a full charge also check out the drivebelt

The van starts right up but shuts right back off

you might have a regular key instead of a microchip key. the micro chip key sends the signal to the computer. If you have a regular key it will start and a couple of seconds it will shut off and do it over and over again.
