Check to see if your fuel pump relay or the related circuit is working. Make sure you're getting voltage to the fuel pump itself. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help!

I have a 2000Chevy cavalier I ran out of gas...I put more gas in it...but it will not start I replaced the filter...but I can't Get fuel to the filter...help???

If your sure that it's not getting fuel to the filter, the fuel pump may have quit. Listen when you first turn the key to the on position for a sound out of the fuel pump.It should last only a few seconds and sound like a low pitched whir. If you can hear the sound then the fuel pump is attempting to pump fuel. If that is the case and you are handy, then remove the hose leading into the filter and hold it over a gas-safe container while someone cranks the engine. Eventually you should see fuel being pumped into the container. This will prove t he fuel pump will move fuel, that you have sufficient gas in the tank, and will vacate the air that was pumped into the lines when you ran out of gas. If all of that checks out, you should be able to reattach the hose and crank the engine to get full the rest of the way to the injectors.

1991 Miata Starting problem

find the filter pull it off and clean it if u cant clean it replace it they usally are cheap on older vehicles but with the filter off turn the car have someone turn the car to the on position so the pump is pumping and see how good it is coming out of the line if not very good then your gas tank line to the fuel filter is clogged but if its fine check the next fuel line the one on the fuel rail there is a bolt on the fuel rail crack it open and have someone turn the key if gas comes out then you are getting fuel and that would mean your injectors are bad

Installed new fuel pump because car had old gas in tank. removed tank and completly drained it. replaced tank and installed new fuel pump and fuel filter. put about 6 gallons of gas in car. have tried to...

Okay, you need to make sure the fuel pump is getting power and that you have the lines hooked up correctly. Also, when you replace fuel pumps you need to remove the air cleaner and use starter fluid to get the engine started.

The engine is turning over but it will not start. It seems to not be getting fuel.

could be the fuel filter or fuel pump. to check the pump remove the fuel line from in front of the filter and put a container in front of the line to catch any gas, turn engine over and see if you get gas pumping from tank. if so try replacing filter.

Replaced the fuel pump in 1988 ford f250 and the engine still seems to not be getting fuel

follow fuel lines from gas tank to engine are any lines crushed. next replace fuel filter. check to be sure fuel filter is installed in right direction. arrow on fuel filter should point toward engine. double check that fuel lines are connected properly, some fuel pumps have three fuel lines one for pressure , one for return and one vent line.last possible bad fuel pump from factory

Ran out of gas and not getting gas to carberator after adding gas

Hello there:
If you have tried priming the fuel pump by turning on the key and listening for the fuel pump to be running if it is it may just need to be primed with a hand priming pump untill you get fuel
but if you still dont get any fuel i would check out the fuel filter to see if it is clogged and needs to be replaced
to locate the fuel pump and filter go under the drivers side and look at the frame of the vehical not quite half way back and you will see the fuel filter and just in front of this about 10 inches towards the engine will be the fuel pump ok>
best regards michael
