S-Type. Water not supplied from the washer bottle for windscreen.
Hey, The washer bottle does not either lick or anything, it makes the usual noise when I try to spray the windscreen, with the exception that the wipers move, but the water is not coming out!!! At first the water amount started to get smaller and smaller, I thought the pressure was falling or something. Then, I noticed that the plasctic cover underneath the bonnet, covering those 2 nosles from where the water's meant to come out, was wet!
I took off the cover, hoping there was some leak, the tube came off or smth. But NOTHING at all.
Do you think it is simply the motor which needs replacing, as not giving enough pressure to pump the water out? Could it gradually break down, as there was less and less water sprinkled out of the nosles?

Most likely the pump (motor) is gone and needs replacement. However, it is worth checking that fuse allocated to windscreen washer is intact. Furthermore, you may also need to check the wiring for flow of current at lever end (handle on the steering wheel) and wires connecting to pump on the water reservoir.
there is usually a white bottle somewhere near the base of the windshield on the passengers side and it has a snapoff lid that usually has a sign or words about the window on it..washer fluid only(not water in cold weather) water freezes and will damage the entire system..window cleaner is usually blue and the more expensive stuff is a yellow/green color.. both work fine although the more expensive stuff cuts through the brine spray from treated roads much better..your choice..
What water bottle? If it is the windshield washer, then either the hose, pump, or bottle itself is cracked. Find out exactly where the water is coming out.
If no noise is heard the pump is not working, this is most likely to be a blown fuse. check fuse under bonnet usually fuse number 2 which is 10 amp (red).
to access the windscreen bottle, you have to take off the front wheel, wheelarch and dicconnect filler tube. Using 10 mm socket take off one bolt holding the bottle. To reinstall take off side indicator to make it easy for you.
for E90 model it is normal to have leak when the bottle is full. the water is coming out from breather on top of bottle. but if the fluid is complately drain, then there's something wrong with it.
A common problem, down to wind chill. Even with engine hot and the water being warmed up in the screen wash bottle, the jets are wind chilled. At 0°C and your driving at say 30 mph in the snow, the effective temp is - 8°C on the jets.
Firstly use winter screen wash, or full stength stuff, it usually says on the bottle, and will not freeze till minus 10°C or better.
In the morning pour warm water on the jet, not boiling and keep it way from the windscreen. If you can get the insulation they use on micro bore gas pipe, you could try that to help keep those unprotected washer hoses lagged.

the motor is at the bottom of the bottle there should be a couple of screws that you will have to remove and it should then be able to pull it out to replace to motor/
