Why not just remove the fuse for the trunk release until you get the short fix stop by your local dealership in the parts department and have them to print you off some pictures and diagrams and you may even find the probelm you are having .

Wont turn over on cold days or after sitting for several days

Have the battery tested with a carbon high discharge tester, if its ok check for a light in the glove box or rear trunk that is staying on due to a faulty switch. or you could disconnect the battery , if it goes flat it is faulty, if it stays ok a light or something is running it down.

2008 bmw 750li the trunk not open

There is a valet switch in he center console and make sure it is switched on so it will open. Does it open from trunk switch on the trunk or from the manual key cylindr in the trunk deck lid? If it does not work from the manual key release on the deck lid then the lock in the trunk is faulty and will need to be drilled and removed unless your a lucky one and have the ski boot opening in the center of backseat fold down arm rest ? If there is a opening then use a hanger and grab the emergency release handle at the right rear of the trunk deck lid underneath, it is glow in the dark colored.

AUTO TRUNK LID DOES NOT FULLY CLOSE

adjust the latch so that the catch will lock over properly. You may need to use a round bar ( screwdriver blade ) Place it under the latch and while pressing on the release button pull the latch out to the open position. The latch may be 1/2 closed before the boot is put down and the latch will not go any further

Keyless Remote Module for 1998 Chevy Malibu

Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Open the rear compartment lid.
Remove the remote door lock receiver (2). The receiver (2) is located between the rear package shelf and the rear package shelf cover, to the right of the center access hole. Compress the 4 tabs and slide the receiver (1) down through the access hole.
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

The trunk lid will not go down all the way due to the motor on the bottom latch not working. Because of the trunk ajar, the trunk lid light stays on. How do I turn off this light and save the battery...

Can you remove the light bulb?, if not then just disconnect the battery until you can get it in the shop, I had this problem once with my caddy, I had to fake out the trunk and get it to reopen and once I did that then I got it to work normally again. Hope this helps! Rick

Toyota Camry 1991 door light stays on

You need to readjust the switch on your trunk door, or replace. To check it locate it, tape it down with duct tape and see if the light goes off. If not it's bad. If it does it means it isn't sticking out far enough to be turned off when the trunk is closed. The adjusment should be fairly obvious. If not you can simply unplug it which has the same result as turning it off.

Need to replace rear speakers in 1998 deville.... how is this done?

If it is the factory installed speakers. They are come out thru the inside. You need to remove the rear deck carpet...Easiest way is to remove both back seats first .
Remove the bottom seat first by pushing the seat towards the back of the car / then lift it up.
Then you will release the other seat by (using a socket set) to remove 2 nuts inside the trunk.then the seat will be release to simply lift out of the car. remove the top deck carpet .
The speakers are held in by 4 angled clips.
From inside the trunk, release the 4 angled clips, disconnect the speaker wires. Then push the speaker inside the car and your done. Hope this helps.
