Hate to tell you this, but is almost 90% that its a computer. Thi scar is build by Mercedes and quality is poor, Same as my 500sl.Nice to look and drive, but you can never be sure when it lets you down.
How recently did you buy it? Maybe you can pull out the lemon law card on them. If it is that new and and doesn't even attempt to crank, do you think your security has tripped? If everything works but when you turn the key you get no response. It save to assume it is an open circuit that requires an input to allow current to flow. Meaning your vehicles mechanical components are fine, yet possibly if you have a transponder or resistor pill (pellet) in your key, that is not being recognized by your vehicle.
Does your key have a chip or a Plus sign on the rubber part? Did you disconnect the battery recently? Need more details please email me
