Your going tho have a tough time getting anything online about your fuse box on a newer T-Bird. You can check out some chat rooms, your best bet is finding a T-Bird club in your area. Some of the info is pretty hard to come by.
The ABS wire is well away from your brake caliper. If your vehicle has brake pad warning wires, these may need to be replaced with the pads. They sometimes come with the pad set.
Hope this helps...
Why bother? You got 6 years out of the old one, and it was probably abused sitting around a lot while being shipped, waiting to be picked up, etc. A Saab does not have a hard starting engine, so there is hardly any need for anything special. And if you spend twice as much, it is not going to last twice as long. If you have no shorts and a good alternator, a normal battery is fine.
However, is you are determined to have the best, I believe that is an Optima. Costs about $150, and is a sealed gelcell battery that won't give off explosive or corrosive gases. Allows much deeper cycling and quicker recharge as well. Easy on the alternator.
Check engine light . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . Special testing needs to be done to determine what the problem is . Bulb or the insturment cluster .
When you say looses power do you mean even the dash lights? If not you should consider replacing the cam sensor. When it goes bad it seems like the batt is dying because of mis-timing of the spark. And it also feels like you have turned the key off while driving sometimes.
not sure about US spec cars but in uk your radio is coded and you will need to put code in to radio once power is disconected.also you will need to do basic settings on electric windows if you have them??.lower the window all the way ,when it reaches the bottom keep button pressed until you hear motor click.repeat process with window closing .your widows wont auto open and close without doing this.
I would request that the battery be replaced regardless. Ive replaced many a Prius battery that is too weak to start the car, and by the time it gets to the shop its charged enough to pass a test. Dont try for any stronger batteries, it is a special glass matt design and shouldnt be replaced with anything non toyota. The code is probably because the voltage is too low to run certain computers, and unlock the transmission. I would probably stop leaving the key in or near the car, that certainly doesnt help.
Hello, There's nothing special to watch for, just don't damage anything physically. What you need to do is only to unscrew everything, replace the battery and screw it all back as it was. Maybe only to watch that you don't unscrew some parts all the way, only as much as you need to release it, so you don't loose the screws. Believe me I know - I work in a factory that produces the whole electrical system for BMW 3 Series ;) Anyway, here I found a detailed instruction with pictures: http://reviews.paonet.org/20070221-Duralast_49-DL/index.html
