Try disconnecting your battery for 2 minuets then reconnecting the battery . This probably will turn the light off.. then see how long it takes to come back on.. I had Mitsubishi that we never could find out what turned the light on.. The dealer even checked it and could not find the problem (did not even charge us) .. When we would turn off it would stay off for a couple of days.. so to smog it we would turn it off, smog it and worry about it in 2 years..Car ran great, always passed smog eaisly and got over 30mpg and went 200,000 miles..
I would say it's bad contacts in the ignition switch. Metals change dimensions depending on temperature, looks like 45 degrees is the trick point for whatever is in there. My 04 Silverado 5.3 with 196,000 has the ticking, but it is gone within 10-15 seconds.

For most all timing belts, the 100,000 mile marker is when the belt should be changed. The belts are designed to work for 100+ thousand miles, but recommended checking/changing is at 100K miles.
You need to go to Autozone to get your check engine light scanned for a code. It doesn't cost anything. Hopefully, your computer has found your problem. They can tell you why your light is on and tell you what the problem is. This will let you know where to start because they are a few things that can cause your engine to loose power.
You just have to disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour. then reconnect and drive for 10 miles so computer can relearn your engine again. It may run rough. You should have the key off when refueling because computer sensed a fuel vapor leak during fueling and turned the light on.
Also, you can always drive with a check engine light on. It just means you are not meeting emissions. Do not drive if it's flashing on and off.
