this car is equipped with the electronic fuel pump............. please check the water level of your car battery and get it recharged from the workshop and also check the life cycles of the battery....if the battery is not ok...........then please get it replaced.
You are describing low fuel pressure (fuel pump) problem. When you say you replaced the fuel filter, where did you find this filter on the 2004 Sonata? The problem, there is no Fuel Filter, per se, there is a 'SOCK' at the bottom of the fuel pump assembly which serves as a filter, inside the fuel tank. By the way, you mentioned the Check Engine Light came on. Did you scan for any codes in the computer (ECU)? If you did, what were the codes?
There is not a Switch for the Fuel Pump. Look under the Hood and Locate the Fuse Relay Box. Inside this Box is a Relay for the Fuel Pump. The Diagram should be inside the Box Cover or Inside the Owners Manual. Replace this Relay and it should Start unless the Fuel Pump needs to be Replaced. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
