Its at the drivers side of the dash where the door meets the dash theirs a little door on it. if you cant find it just look in the owners manual it will tell you where it is.

it sounds like th battery has give up the clicking is the starter solenoid going in/out cos when it engages the motor the load on the battery is too high it cant cope. the voltage drops low and it disegages then the voltage goes back up so it tries to restart. the battery is flat or scrap check the charging system also

i had this with my 2.0 IDE laguna. it was due to a low voltage level on battery enough power to fire the relays, but not enough to turn the starter. check that your battery voltage is high . i ended up getting anew battery and a battery conditioner from ebay to just keep the voltage topped up when not using the car, i never found what was causing the drain on battery though

Run fault codes as the light may also refer to the engine having a fault.. When the CPU finds a sensor that is outside set parameters it will put on a light to let you know that something is wrong. With Renault it may be the service light meaning check the engine and not service the engine.
