What is the correct colour code for Canadian Trailer hitch wiring? I know white is ground, brown is tail lights, Yellow and Green are Signal lights but which side?

Yes. Yellow-Left turn Green-Right turn Brown-Tail lights
White-Ground

Under the vehicle by the tail lights locate the lights wiring and look for this colors.
it's only four colors white-ground point,brown-parking lights,yellow-left side turn signal light and green-right side turn signal.
you are going to need a test light to find the correct wire,if you can't locate the wiring unther the vehicle then remove the tail lights and do the connections there.

With both tail light lenses removed locate the black with yellow wires and the dark green with brown wires coming out of the brake/tail/turn signal sockets.

The black with yellow wire will be the running lights or tail lights and the brown wire from the trailer harness will attach to it.

The green wire on the trailer harness will be the right turn signal and will be attached to the passenger side tail light harness dark green with brown wire.

The yellow wire on the trailer harness will be the left turn signal and will be attached to the dark green with brown wire on the drivers side tail light harness.

The white wire on the trailer harness is the ground wire and will need to be attached to a good ground. Is it pretty easy to crimp an eyelet onto the end of the wire and use a self tapping screw to attach it to the body behind one of the tail light lenses.

White is ground, black is power to trailer battery trickle charge, blue is brakes, green is tail/running lights, red is left turn signal and left brake light, brown is right turn signal and right brake light, yellow is aux power/back up lights. This is the general color coding, there are exceptions, white, black, and blue are pretty much always as listed above, sometimes the others vary. I take it the blinkers and brake lights work ok when not hooked up to the trailer? If yes, then the wiring to the tow hitch is not hooked up correctly. How many wires to trailer pig tail connection? U can have up to 7 depending on what you tow. Check to make sure these wires are hooked up from the truck to tow plug correctly: 7 wired---
brown-Rt turn and brake light, yellow-backup, white-ground, blue-electric brake, green-tail running lights, black-battery charger, red-left turn signal and brake light. Let me know if u have something other than 7 wire, I'll get the wiring color and source info for u.
