You may need a heater core. This is usually mounted under the dash. Check the heater lines that go into the cab to see if they get hot. No hot antifreeze in the heater core = no heat.

There is a thing called a rear stat when that goes then only setting the heat motor work's on is the fastest the normally have 4 or 5 wires on and normally under glove box fixed in the venting system so it keeps it cool you might have to remove the glove box the stat is normally held in by 2 screws
If the heater is working correctly, and the air temp does not stay the same coming from different outlets, the problem could be a blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and out the vents.
Feel your heater hoses. If both are hot, the core is circulating. If only one is hot-poor or no circulation of the core. If the heater core is circulating, the temperature blend door may not be working to let blower air pass across the heater core, and into the vents. If vacuum operated, watch the vacuum valves as you move heater controls-you may spot the problem. Check that the vacuum line from the engine to the control switch is working and still connected. If not operated by vacuum, the controls may have cables to the heater case or may be electrically operated. You'll just have to scope it out. Good luck.
try changing the thermostat and make sure all the air is bled out of the system this should help your heat problem.before changing the stat with the motor at operating temperature grab the heater hoses to see if they are the same temperature or not.if they are the same then change the stat.if not the same temp then the heater core may be plugged or partially plugged and will have to be changed.still change the stat as they do get tired and won`t work properly.
if you have changed your t-stat and had no luck, try to flush your heater core, with water and air combo, sounds like that is what your problem is. If you are if you don't feel comfortable doing that have a professional do it.
check and see if the heater valve is opening. it should be on one of the heater hoses. If it is open make sure that all the air is out of the engine. check and see if both sides of the radiator are the same temp. They should both be the same. If it was working before you changed the stat, then it could be a bad stat
Check the hoses going to inlet and outlet to heater core. You may have accidentaly hooked them up backwards since you said you flushed the heater core out. Also did the barsleak have the aluminum filings in it?
