2005 tahoe wiper replacement

I am having a hard time replacing the wiper replacement on a 2005 tahoe. The manual says to pull the wipers back far enough to reverse the wipers but when I lift the arm; it only pulls back about 2 inches so I am unable to reverse the wipers to access the release lever.

My tahoe has a plastic piece just to the left of the metal attaching arm. It is easiest to see on the driver side wiper. There is just enough room to slip a flat blade screw driver into and then pop upwards. After this clip is popped, slowly move the wiper blade to the right as you pull that clip further upward. The blade can now be removed. Of course if you have a different type blade this will not work.

2005 Tahoe rear windshield wiper inoperative in dash panel position 1or2

Rear Wiper/Washer System Components
The rear wiper/washer system consists of the following components:
• Rear wiper/washer switch
• Window wiper module-rear
• Window washer pump-rear
• RR WIPER 15A fuse
• RR WPRB 25A fuse
Rear Wiper/Washer System Operation
The rear wiper module controls rear wiper motor operation. Battery voltage supplied to the module is used to operate the wiper motor in all modes and to return the rear wiper arm to the park position after the ignition is turned off. Accessory voltage supplied to the rear wiper/washer switch is used to supply the rear window wiper and washer switch signal circuits. In wiper switch positions 1 and 2 the wiper switch signal circuit voltage level to the wiper motor module determines the wiper motor delay interval. The rear window washer pump supply voltage circuit is used to provide the operating voltage for the rear washer pump for as long as the rear washer switch is pressed. The rear window washer switch signal circuit is used as a wash signal to the rear wiper motor module to operate the wipers during the rear wash operation.

Did you replace the rear wiper module ?

My rear wiper is pulsating but not moving

try to inject a WD40 into the mechanism (shaft/bearing assembly) and gently move the wiper to rotate the shaft a little, there should be enough play to do this. Extend the wiper from the window pane and let it extended. Turn the contact key on. Go back to the wiper and "help" it rotate. It will start to rotate with difficulty at first, then freely.

You may have to do this once a year before winter. If this does not work, check the fuse and replace it if needed, then go back to step one

Front wipers on my 2005 honda pilot are not working but rear is

The wipers in the front probably have there own seperate fuse. You need to check on it and see if you have blown one out. The diagram on the fuse box should point out wipers. Pull it out and look in the little window on the fuse to see if the wire hasbeen burnt in two. If so replace it and check wipers. If you do not have thefuse box diagram then just pull each fuse one at a time and replace it back into the same spot and move to the next fuse. Replace any that have been burnt. There may be more then one so keep going until all have been checked. I hope this helped, The Raz

My rear windshield wiper stopped working on my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. I can hear the motor working but when we replace the motor it still wont work.

My 2005 tahoe did the same thing. I also bought a new motor, which did not fix. I discovered there was a bad ground. Instead of searching for bad ground, just install a short length of stranded wire with crimp terminals between a wiper motor mounting bolt and a rear glass latch assy mounting bolt to restore good grounding to the wiper motor.

Replace rear wiper on 2005 Murano

You probably already figured this out, but you have to remove the wiper arm completely in order to replace the wiper blade.

The blades are an unusual size (somewhere around 14 1/2") and I believe they are only available from a Nissan dealership. They include printed instructions in the box but just in case, this is from the official Nissan service manual:

Hummer H2 rear wiper and sprayer came on by itself

It sounds like the wiper control module. The wipers on my 2003 did the same thing. After I pulled the fuse for the rear wiper, the front wipers started acting up as well. I had to pull fuses to stop them too. There is a recall on 2003 H2's for this issue. The cover of the wiper module on 2003s for the allows rain/water to get into the module. The cover will be replaced for free, however, in my case since the module was full of water and my wipers were not working, they replaced the module for free also. Not sure how much it would cost to replace on a 2005.
