Rough guess? Needs a starter, or it has a loose wire.

2005 pontiac vibe new starter new battery and still won't start and won't engage the fly wheel. It does nothing. 1 click.

Check the 30 amp MAIN fuse.

Is the security light flashing?
If not, could be neutral safety switch.

I would probe the ST relay socket to see if anti-theft is turning on the starter cut relay. You could also probe that relay socket.

I have a Pontiac Vibe 2003 that needs a new starter. How do I replace the old one. It shows that the battery is low and when we try and start the car there is just a clicking sound.

It may not be the starter it may just be a bad battery or a loose battery cable. Let me know the results and we can go from there sometimes its the simplest solutions.

1999 Pontiac Sunfire won't even turn over, but the

The radio will work even with a dying or discharged battery.

First, be sure to check all of your fuses in the engine compartment.

A full battery will keep the headlights bright with the engine off. With a dying or discharged battery, the headlights will be noticeably dim.

When you turn the key to crank the engine, does the starter try to turn or make a fast clicking? If so, the battery if low or dying. If it makes a slow click then stops, then it's REALLY dying.

If you don't have a battery charger, go to Walmart and get some jumper cables. Hook up a friend's car to yours. If it starts, then the battery was low, either from a bad battery or a bad alternator.

If it doesn't, you have electrical problems, possibly a bad starter or starter solenoid.
