Question about 1996 Lincoln Town Car
My sons 1996 town car has a clicking noise comming from the motor It .just started when it got very cold outside.can you help thanks,Debbie
It sounds like it is probably the valve train making a little noise - this normally happens when the car is cold (before it warms up and the oil gets moving nicely)
Has he done an oil change recently? Does he have sufficient oil in the car? Check these things and rectify if necessary. Finally, he might want to double-check the oil he's using - the first number in the specification (eg 5W30) refers to the cold viscosity - he may need to change this to improve his cold starting.
Hope this helps
