This particular van should not have a vacuum modulator. That part is located on the transmission and controls shifting which is electronically controlled on the 94 models.

My 1994 ford econoline van is not shifting gears

Hello.
This a repair for a transmission shop. Sounds like the pumps are bad inside the transmission. Thats the worst option I have.
It also can be a poor shift linkage adjustment. And the last solution can be the speed module that tell the transmission when to shift.
Goodluck! I hope this helps!

I have a 1982 ford van that will not shift gears when i am driving, can you tell me some reasons why this would happen? And Is there anywhere i can get a free 1982 ford econoline transmission diagram...

look down on the side and see if a vacuum hose goes into a little round diaphram.. If you find it unplug it and look to see if it got fluid in it. If it does replace the modulator. If dry make sure the linkage on the carb is hooked up correctly. This is about all you can do without replacing an internal part.
