Question about 1988 Isuzu Pickup 2WD
The starter is near the vicinity of the flywheel where the engine interfacing with the transmission. look from the bottom of the engine up you can spot it just like this image.

The starter may not be yoour problem. investugate the safety switch on the clutch pedal. i had the same problem. replacing or straightwiring the switch is a much cheaper route
