Big hammer required. If its an alloy wheel, a block of soft wood would be a good idea.

Front tire won't come off

Sit on your but and kick the tire with both feet. The tire is stuck. Some tire repairmen use a large sludge hammer and hit the tire, don't hit the rim.

Cant get the front tire off

If all the lugs nuts are off, what I do for stuck wheels due to rust on the hub, take one of the other wheels and hit the tire and wheel with it. If you have WD 40, soak the hub too.

I have a 2006 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer. The front passenger side tire blew out. I took off all the lug nuts that I could see but I can't get the tire off. Is there a hidden lug nut somewhere? Do I...

If you first jack up the right side with wheel chocks in place and set in park, and take off all of the lugnuts, sometimes the wheel gets stuck to the hub, in the middle, requiring a heavy hammer or heavy piece of metal shaft to hit the wheel at the 6 o'clock position from behind the wheel to dislodge it.

This is a common problem.

Cant get the tire off 2004 stratus es after removing all lugs.Need to change battery...HELP

Hi:
The rims can get stuck on the wheel hub , and often need a little persuasion to get them loose! If you can jack up your car, and preferably put a jack stand or something solid under the car, other than the car jack, then you can work on getting the tire loose. I have put a piece of wood up against the back side of my wheel assembly, and hit it with a large hammer, then jiggled the whole assembly side to side till it broke loose....just protect the rim and tire to keep from hitting directly on them.

Took off lug nuts but tire won't come off

common issue. take out your spare tire and use it to hit the inside of the wheel. this will knock it loose and save you excessive effort. once you are done you get anti sieze and apply it to the centre of the hub and install the wheel. torque is about 90 ft lbs..
