Dont quote me here but i think you may need a new motor that comes with a built in reostat ,the motor may be working but the resistor that controls the speeds isnt working properly.

Have the blower motor resistor checked it may be bad causing air not to blow, you will get a little heat at defrost because heat rises and thats the high point, the blower motor is not working check that resistor.

Do you have manual lock in hubs??? Alot of these work off of vacuum. check you hoses, and also a pull off valve which enguages the front end. One bolt to replace this the valve the enguages the front end.

The defrost has leaves in heater box , blocking air flow on pasenger side most likely???? Check it out.

SOURCE: 2001 jeep heater on passenger side not working

there should be a small valve attached to a hose coming from the engine into the firewall this valve directs the hot engine coolant into the heater radiator in the heater box it probably is closed open it and, you should have heat then: it should be easy to find the reason it was closed

SOURCE: 2001 jeep grand cherokee wont blow air through vents

there is a flap to redirect the air flow under the dash, it may be an item like a pen :) that has dropped down the vent opening stopping it from moving to redirect the air ... failing that, one of the motors/cables that operate the flap has failed

it may be, but could be that the a/c compressor is not coming on to remove the moisture from the air. Visit honestautoestimates.com for free estimates on repairs and information regarding any repair.

I would recommend flushing your cooling system and especially your heater core. With water and compressed air. Possibly replacing your thermostat while your doing that too

2001 Jeep Cherokee a/c blows defroster only, no cruise control

There is a vacuum leak under the hood somewhere. Check the vacuum at the speed control servo. If there is no vacuum on the line with the engine running, follow the line to find the leak. The vacuum reservoir is mounted under the battery tray. I would look in that area after confirming no vacuum at the servo.

Heat works on driver side, passenger side blows cold air.

Did you check your coolant level or was it low and you added to it at some point? If so the system my need to be bleed or worst case the thermostat is going bad.
