Question about 2001 Ford Escape
Did you ever resolve this? I have the EXACT same symptom. #6 and #4 are DEAD! New, plugs, coils, PCM, injectors.
I ran some tests and proved it wasnt electrical and it wasnt injectors. Compression looks good.
I saw a post at www.iatn.com where some mechanic had the same exact issue.
That site, www.iatn.com, however, is reserved ONLY for professional mechanics. They wont let us in to see the answer. I am suspicious that there is something peculiar going on here with this issue.
Please advise if you ever resolved this. It's my son's car and after it melted two CATs I now have 2K tied up in it. I am past the point of giving up. I MUST fix it!
