Check linkage cable to trans someone has to be in truck plus someone under truck on left side watching linkage to see if lever on trans moves as shifter is moved do this with engine off and key in on position then move shifter and watch under truck at trans if no movement at trans then linkage cable is bad also make sure parking brake is released good luck

Can I interchangel a 97 dodge Dakota 42RE fans with at dodge Durrango 46RE trans

Shouldn't be any problem as long as both are either 2wd or 4wd. The 42RE and 46RE are very similar, but the 46RE is a heavier duty unit.

My 2000 dodge durrango won't start it will turn over..I already changed the ECM and coil packs and spark plugs what else can prevent it from starting and

Spark, fuel and compression . Do you have spark at the plugs ? If not, does the tachometer register while cranking the engine over ? Fuel pressure and injector pulse signals need verification . Compression needs checking .

1999 dodge durrango died and wont start it cranks fine just wont start

It may crank fine but you are missing spark or fuel. Could be sensor of some type, timing, fuel pump. fuel filter. Did you dheck the fuses. May be a relay also.
