Question about 2004 Subaru Forester

1 Answer

99 Subaru Forester

My car recently lost power, it acts like there are only 2 gears if I floor the gas it jumps to 5000 rpms and if I let out it barely accelerates, I notice my Catalytic converter was glowing so I replaced the spark plugs and wires, and removed the catalytic concevert to clean it, while off the car still responds the same way no power and my check engine light is flashing. I dont have a lot of money and really need help so I can nip this in the **** myself..
Thanks Michael

2013 subaru forester floor heater not working

Did something fall down in one of the vents? Sounds like a blend door is not able to fully move for some reason. If it's still under warranty take it to the dealer.

Will a left headlight from a Subaru Forester 99 fit a Subaru Forester 98?

Yes. There are 2 types available. A 1 piece and a 2 piece. The 2 piece has a seperate turn signal. Good luck and have a good day.

I a 99 subaru forester that will not egage into drive too

hey, it sounds like the oil level in the gearbox, it not only lubricates but it also fills servos that change the gears and if there is low oil it will take longer to gain pressure.

My 99 Subaru Forester did not start. It turns over will not catch, it has gas. 2 weeks ago the same thing happened, the mechanic replaced the fuel pump and a 30 amp maxi fuse to the ECM circuit. This...

I also have a -99 Forester S turbo with the same problem. Runs like clockwork between failiures but all of a sudden engine turns but will not start. The workshop recomended fuelfilter replacement but I thaught it could have something to do with the immobilizer. what have you tried and ruled out?

Sunroof on my subaru forester 2001 won't open when i push the button to open the motor is working but i think the cable that guides it back to open snaped

No cable, 99% are gear-drive. Dirt, water, debris got inside. May need to take it into Subaru and have them remove/clean and reinstall. Great SUV- I'd pay to have it done, its a Subaru.

Car lurches and bucks, rpms erratic on acceleration on hills

You could have any of these problems:
1) vacuum leak- broken air hose or disconnected air hose.
2) water in the gasoline- add a water remover to you gas tank.
3) bad or disconnected spark plug wire(s).
If this were my Forester, I'd take it to a mechanic who has a electronic engine tester..
