SOURCE: 2003 Kia Sorento- po700, po355

P0355....Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction would suggest you need to replace your coil packs. Heat damages them after time and will eventually lead to misfire and very rough running motor especially when it's damp out.

P0700....Transmission Control System Malfunction

I would start researching the possibility of a bad ground, a loose main cable to the battery, etc. If the codes come back, the P0700 can be very serious and could require attention at a Transmission shop or dealership. There is a remote possibility that the codes are entirely unrelated.

I have these codes reading now po700 po335 and po727 any idea what to check first on 03 kia sorento. my car lost power then shut off, then wouldn't start

p0335 is a crank shaft sensor error. This sensor is what tells the ECM when to send spark to plugs. That is why it wont start.

2003 kia sorento died. Codes are Po700,Po335, and Po727

be careful on this one. 700 means a transaxle, not sure if its stopped signal or something else. 335 is the crank sensor, i wonder if you have a timing belt that has come or or somethin like that. dont crank the engine until you can get someone to check some things.

My 2003 kia sorento "stalls" when shifting and now

I would recommend you have the computer scanned for codes - hopefully the light was on for enough time to set a code or two.

Hi I have Kia sorento 2003 and my trouble is idle go up to 3000rpm to shift from 1 to 2 and the idel some time no stable go at round 200to 500 rpm with OBD 2 code P1330. your help will be appreciated...

Dear Allamid,

Seems to me like you need angine diagnostics performed. Your idle speed is way to high here. Mapping the engine should pinpoint and solve the problem. This is typic\lly done by nothing more than plugging a laptop into the onboard computer that governs the engine.

By the sounds of the OBD code that you have, you already knew thisabove procedure.Even so, have the Engine management unit checked, and get someone to check thermostat, engine timing, and might be worth having a full service done.

If you still dont get anywhere with this, get in touch with me andI will investigate the matter thoroughly for you,but in the meantime I do hope that this actually does resolve your issue.

yours sincerely

Ouszen

Car shuts off while driving had it hooked up and codes were po 727 po 700 po 335 the only thing that would shut car off is the crank case sensor, if so where is it located

I'm not real familiar with the Kia but it will either be located at the front of the engine behind the fan pulley where the crank is located, or it will be at the back of the engine in reference to the crank. This does go out quit often and if yours is located at the front of the engine, it is usually more trouble to change or get to. Vehicles that I have changed them on usually run about $50-$65 but are fairly easy to replace by someone at home. Good Luck
