There is really not repair.

RECOMENDATION:

Go to your Local Ford Parts Dealer and pick up a new timing chain with gaskets.

Hope this tip helps.

98 Oldsmobile Aurora change just chan just change the oil on it when l left said check what does that mea mean pleas please help?

You had the oil changed
Then what?
You have a dash light on, you have never seen before,
& have no owners manual to look it up
Or you have MIL Lamp on,like a check engine light,
unrelated to the oil change!
Stop at a repair shop & ask

Timing chain the tension of the timing chan is broken

2.7L V6 engine? OK. is the chain broken or the tensioner not taking up
the slack? chain ok, just replace the tensioner, right side of engine, below
front of cylinder head. if it is the chain that broken, take it to a repair shop,
this will be and expensive fix, bent valves.
GOOD LUCK, RDJRP.

How to set tining after replacing timing chain on 1997 chrysler lhs

Hello mataylor990: My name is Roger and I will answer for you. According to All Data and Mitchell repair manuals. Once you have the Timming marks set properly at the dears. There is no further Timming to set. They manufacture does not supply a static Timming for a light. Timming is controlled by the PCM.
Please rate the quality of the answer. Should you need further help please just ask. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

I can give you some general sidrections as I do not have a manual for your car. But you are better off getting a repair manual from store or online and follow the removal procedures. Take care!

Does the Corolla 2003 model have a timming belt or chain?Does the water pump has to be changed at 70K miles? Thanks. Adrian

Adrian,

Until 2002 Toyota's had a timing belt. After 2002, Toyota's have a timing chain. Manufacturer/dealers recommend replacement of the timing chain at about 90,000 miles. I've talked to several mechanics - including the dealer - about the cost of changing out the chain. The lowest price I found from a very reputable mechanic is $260-270. He told me that if I brought in the part, he'd reduce the cost. The dealership was almost double!

Re: water pump: I haven't found anything that stated it must be changed at 70K miles. Hope this was helpful.
