This is the manual for your Odyssey. You will need Adobe reader (free from Adobe) to read it, and you can save it only in sections, but you can print anything (like the oil information) that you need. Look in the index under OIL.

Hope this helps you.

The tranny fluid on most cars and trucks is 30,000 miles ,as far as the engine oil if you use a good oil brand like Honda motor oil or even like Motorcraft they are a synthectic blend 5w20 and you can go 5,000 miles between oil changes. Now if your useing regular motor oil change it every 3,000 miles.Hope that helps

SOURCE: Gas tank door opener in Honda Odyssey 1997

If the lever itself is broken remove it it will have a cable attached to it. unhook the lever from the cable and pull the inner cord of the cable with plyer's or simular. If the lever is'nt broken it may be stressed so follow the same process. As to removing check arround the lever for screws if no screws the lever pivets on a pin gently tap out the pin with a small punch and hammer if you havent got a suitable punch then file or cut the point of a small nail.

SOURCE: changing 1997 honda odyssey oil filter, any need

I have heard that a warm engine drains the oil better, and the contaminents are suspended in the oil, and not settled.
Hot oil is harder to deal with, but I understand that's it's a better method.

Your vehicle would use 5W-30 or 5W-40 full synthetic oil. Any brand is ok, but remember you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.

I need to change the odometer on my 97 Honda Odyssey

The only way to adjust the odometer is to bring it to a dealership and have them do it. For the cost and hastle over 20000 (4 oil changes), I would recommend leaving it alone.
