Dear friend, I have a few questions beforeI can give you advice. Did the whisle start at the same as the jerking while driving? Did these problems show up "all of a a sudden?" or did they start out as merely just a minor noticable sound or chug and seem to get worse over time? Did you park your car the night before and it was running fine, and the next morning go to drive it and "BAM" the car was having these symptoms? Did you run out of gas recently and when was your last "complete tune up"? I'm sorry for all the questions but in order to try and provide you with imformation that is helpful, I need to ask.

Check all vacuume lines for leaks. Also is the whistling sound comming from the speakers inside the truck or from under the hood?

Sounds like your fuel filter is getting clogged up. Get that changed and it will be fixed. Should be an easy, cheap fix. Hope this helps, James Booth :))

most likely a bad fuel pump, do you hear it hum when the key is on? fuel pump has to pump 180 pounds of pressure to operatethe motor, some pumps do come on but don't pump enough pressure for car to run.if ou have spark but no run, it's a fuel issue. you wre right o replace the inline filter, that's where i would've started.i suggest you replace that fuel pump. if you disconnect the fuel line at filter@ turn the key on, the gas should shoot out about 20 feet. hop this helps!!

Fuel problem

fuel pump sound like a good place to start it may not be getting enough pressure to the fuel thus not sending enough of it at a time to explain why it runs good sometime i think it is primeing and filling the lines once it shuts off and so for a litle while it has enough gas but one you use the gas that was ready in the line it can't get enough to run correctly. have it tested.
